Meet Katrina Eames

Katrina serves as a School Board Director for Northgate School District. They graduated from Northgate High School in 2012 and 10 years later they were asked to fill a vacant seat on the School Board. When the community needed someone to serve, Katrina stepped up and took responsibility to help make the Northgate community a place that puts our students first and foremost, ensuring every child has a safe and nurturing learning environment where they can thrive.

As an alumni, a community organizer, a queer person of color, and someone who grew up in the disability justice movement due their parent’s disability – Katrina brings a unique perspective to the school board. They are working to ensure students attending Northgate today attend schools where every child has access to mental health support and resources, that their schools celebrate the diversity of our community, and where every child’s individual learning needs are met in an environment that raises the bar for all students.
